What can only be described as a gastropub, this is a big place, nice decor and really really good service.  Is quite expensive and tables are sometimes hard to get, but a nice evening out with simple well prepared food.  Far from standard pub grub!

Charlotte's Place

We had heard lots about this place but had never got around to visiting it.  Set in a really great location, just by Ealing Common, it looked very inviting.  The staff were great, very professional and attentive without being overly in your face or too grovally!  Quite contemporary and modern inside, the menu wasn't too big.  Portions were small although very imaginative.  The food was modern English and pretty good.  In hindsight the smallish portions were judged just right as you weren't too full to enjoy the great puds they had on offer.  The lamb was perfectly cooked, although seemed a little cold, however that was a small gripe.  Would definitely go back, good for a few people dining together.
